A Minnesota Maker marketplace featuring local artisans and craftspeople. This annual event benefits Her Spirit and the MN artisan community. Lowertown Pop donates 50 percent of ticket sales to Her Spirit - Creating a legacy of doing good, one drink at a time, and one lucky Minnesota craftsperson.
Lowertown Pop includes bakers, distillers, musicians and visual artists, as well as makers of jewelry, apparel, accessories, apothecary goods, toys, decorative objects and much more. New this year is a “Make and Take” craft area hosted by makers from Carver Junk Company where, for a small fee, guests create and craft an item to take home. There will also be a DJ spinning tunes, and magician Eli Sanchez will delight guests with his arsenal of tricks and fun.
Shoppers can browse from an assortment of apothecary, apparel, accessories, décor, and food and beverage items. Tickets are $8 advance and $10 at the door and admission is free for children ages 5 and under. One hundred percent of ticket proceeds will be divided equally between the event charitable partner Her Spirit, a vodka distillery that gives 50 percent of its profits to women entrepreneurs each year, and one lucky Minnesota Maker. There will also be live musical entertainment and refreshments available for purchase, including delicious sandwiches from Chef Earl’s BBQ. Another new highlight of Lowertown Pop will be a bar featuring two specialty cocktails crafted by Crave Catering, with Calvit’s Shrubs (the Ginger Gin & Tonic with Calvit’s Lemongrass Ginger Shrub and the Thai Tai with Calvit’s Basil Thai Shrub). Union Depot Bar & Grill will also be open for guests wishing to enjoy a sit-down meal and beverages.
